A professional photographer went to Antarctica to capture penguin migration but left with an unexpected best friend. Each day for a week, as he set out to shoot, one penguin would quietly waddle away from the colony and sit right beside him. It never made a sound, just glanced at the camera now and then, before waddling back to the group after a few hours as if nothing had happened.

On his final day, the bond took a surprising turn. The penguin approached once more, this time carrying a fish, placing it at the photographer’s side as if to say goodbye and good luck. Laughing about the moment, the photographer later said, “I really don’t like fish, but I really like that penguin.”
