We were driving home from the shelter, and the whole way, he kept looking at me with those unsure eyes — a mix of confusion and quiet hope. He didn’t know where we were headed, probably thinking it was just another stop, another cage, another night alone.
But this time, it’s different. He’s not going to another shelter. He’s going home. No more cold floors or silent rooms — just warmth, love, and a family waiting for him.
His new life starts today, and I’ll be right beside him through every moment of it.
