Detective Sergeant Cody Becker, 36, was tragically killed in an ambush while serving a warrant in North Codorus Township, Pennsylvania. On September 17, 2025, Becker and fellow detectives Mark Baker and Isaiah Emenheiser were gunned down by a heavily armed suspect lying in wait. Despite the deadly attack, their bravery saved the lives of a woman and her mother who were the suspect’s targets.
A former Spring Grove football standout, Becker was admired not only for his leadership in the Northern York County Regional Police Department but also for his heroism — in 2010, he saved a baby and two children from a house fire. Known as a devoted officer, husband, and community protector, his courage, devotion, and heart will never be forgotten.
Together with Detectives Baker and Emenheiser, Cody Becker’s sacrifice marked one of the darkest days in York County law enforcement history. To his family, his colleagues, and his community, he was more than an officer — he was family. The details are below 👇😞
