Today I adopted your dog. He’s the one you left on the street. The one you had for seven years and then decided you didn’t want anymore.
I adopted your dog today. Do you know he has lost weight? He is scared and sad, and he shakes every time he sees us.
Today I adopted your dog. He had fleas, he was freezing cold, and he had a fever. But don’t worry: you got rid of a big problem.
I adopted your dog today. Why did you leave him? Were you having a baby or moving? Did you suddenly get allergies, or did he just get too naughty?
Today I adopted your dog. He doesn’t play or eat. He’s very sad. But we’ll get through this, and he’ll learn to trust again.
Today I adopted your dog, and he will stay here. He has found a forever home and family, and a warm bed where he will rest.
Today I adopted your dog. I will try to give him a good life, full of love and friendship, for the rest of his short life. I want him to know that not all people are cruel, that life is beautiful, and that it is worth so much. You missed out on him and didn’t know how to value him.
