β€œCan you make my daughter a bowl of ramen?”I love special requests because I get to go a little nuts planning out how I’m going to make whatever it is. I love pieces with multiple parts that require different techniques even if some times it can get tedious (wood ear mushrooms and green onions).

The seaweed was particularly involved and fun, I split black acrylic yarn into two strands so what I had to work with would be thinner. Then, crocheted a rectangle with both green respun yarn and the black together, fluffed it out and trimmed it down to get the colours to blend and get that fibrous look of seaweed, then soaked it in glue water to stiffen it.

Also, I totally thought I was smart for thinking I could crochet with the noodle coloured yarn and frog it to get that ramen look but turns out tons of people here have been calling it yarn ramen for a while now 🀣
