I want to take a moment to introduce everyone to Miss Parham, a beautiful 2-month-old baby girl.
Last night, I was called to a home because a child was choking. This sweet little princess was the one in trouble.
When I arrived, she was turning blue and not breathing. Her mom and dad had tried CPR, but it didn’t work. At that moment, I felt God’s guidance and knew exactly what to do.
I performed a special form of CPR, and was able to clear the cereal from her throat. She started breathing again.
She smiled at me for a moment, then started crying – and that cry was the best sound I could hear.
After 25 years as a cop, this is the most meaningful and rewarding moment of my career. It made every second of those years worth it.
I will always be humbled by this experience. Little Miss Parham will always hold a special place in my heart.
