What a Kind and Helpful Boy Lakken Is!
Today, we went to Walmart, and Lakken noticed an elderly man who was struggling to shop. The man had trouble lifting his head and couldn’t see well, only the ground and a little to the sides.
Lakken looked at me and asked, “Aunt Ry, can I please help him?”
I smiled and said, “Yes.”
Lakken walked up to the man and kindly asked, “Would you like some help?”
The man’s eyes lit up with joy. “Well, yes! That would be amazing, young man. Thank you so much,” he said.
Lakken immediately started running all over the store, finding everything the man needed. The man was so happy and told us he hadn’t had help in years. He couldn’t believe he met such a kind and smart young man like Lakken!
Lakken didn’t stop there. He helped the man check out, bag his groceries, and even made sure the store called the shuttle bus for him.
The man tried to give Lakken some money as a thank-you, but Lakken shook his head and said, “Oh, thank you, but I don’t need this. I enjoyed helping you. You keep your money.”
I couldn’t be prouder of my nephew Lakken. It’s rare to see people—especially kids—show such kindness to others.
