Senator Markwayne Mullin: “🚨 We will NOT adjourn the Senate until we pass President Trump’s ‘One Big, Beautiful Bill.’
This is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to deliver the biggest tax cuts for working families in U.S. history.
And no, Iran isn’t setting us back.”
From video: “Well guys, it’s Monday morning, and I’ve got to admit, I’m not the biggest basketball fan of all time. However, I did watch a game last night, so congratulations to the Thunder, congratulations to Oklahoma. It was exciting to see us bring back a championship to Oklahoma, and I was excited for the fans. What are we doing here in Washington D.C. this week? Obviously, there’s a lot of talk going on about what took place over the weekend. We’ll get into that later on through the week. But what about the ‘One Big, Beautiful Bill’? People are saying, does this distract us from ‘One Big, Beautiful Bill’? No. Leader Thune has made it very clear, we are going to stay here until we get this voted out of the Senate and sent back to the House and get it to the President’s desk. There is no daylight between us, between the House, and between the President. In fact, the President was on the phone dealing with Iran and Israel and at the same time dealing with ‘One Big, Beautiful Bill.’ It’s absolutely amazing. I talked to my wife yesterday and I was like, it’s truly an example of leadership that I’m learning a lot from. Because the way he’s able to pivot, the way he’s able to just stay even-keeled, make decisions, move on, make a deal, move on, and still lead from the front with consistency is absolutely… Honestly, it’s something that I take into consideration every day right now because I’m watching a true leader work. We’re delivering the promises for the American people to get us back on track, to get us away from the Biden-era policies, and move us to Trump-era policies—making America great again. The devil’s in the details, there’s still more to be said and more to be done on the bill. This is going to move us in the right direction when it’s all said and done. It won’t be perfect, but it will be good.”
