“Well.. on our way to Steak and Shake… in front of Oak Mountain golf course. See a car out of place. It’s wrapped around a tree. Instincts tell me to stop. I see others stopping. There is a kid in the driver’s seat. Go to help. I can see the ground through the floor board. The dash has pinned his leg down. Pretty sure it’s broken. A fire has started. No one has a fire extinguisher. I remember I have sharp things back in my car. Find scissors. Get seat belt cut off. Fire is in front seat. Leg is pinned too hard. We are pulling as hard as we can. Kid finally cries out ‘I want to live please save me!’ One dude wraps his arms around him. By this time the fire is starting to rage and has caught the tree on fire. It wrapped around and all the pine straw. It hasn’t rained in months. We all pull and pull and finally the kid falls to the he ground. I drag him further back and tell others to back up. The whole car is on fire now. Tires are popping. 2 minutes later police and fire arrive. No one else was injured and no one died. Shout out those men who helped me save that kid.”
