Blake Ockleston and Daniel Coyle-Smith, both 13, were outside playing Pokemon in Auckland, New Zealand, when they saw an elderly man having trouble crossing the street. He was shaking and using a walker, clearly unsure of himself.

Without thinking twice, the boys put away their Pokemon game and went to help him. As they started to walk him across the road, the light changed. One of the boys stopped all the traffic to make sure the man could cross safely. They then helped him across another street.

But they didn’t stop there. After they helped him across, they walked with him to his destination—the train station. When they got there, one of the boys asked a security guard to stay with the man and assist him further.

A woman named Lyqueeshah Brooks witnessed the kindness and shared it on Facebook. She wrote: “My heart is so full right now. These boys helped this man cross two streets in New Lynn. Huge shoutout to their parents! Without them, no cars would have stopped for him.”
