A Special Birthday for Thomas Daniel
Meet a very special birthday boy—9-year-old Thomas Daniel!
One morning, Officer Lynema saw a little boy running after a school bus. The bus didn’t stop, so the officer asked if he needed help.
Thomas told him he had missed the bus, and his mom didn’t have a car to take him to school. With his mom’s permission, Officer Lynema gave him a ride. On the way, he learned that it was Thomas’ 9th birthday. Thomas invited him to his party but admitted he was worried—he gets bullied at school and was afraid no one would come.
That evening, Officer Lynema went to the party. Sadly, Thomas was right. No one from his class showed up. Only his siblings and the officer were there. Worse—there was no cake.
But Officer Lynema had a plan.
The next day, he brought back-up. When Thomas got off the bus, he was surprised with a second party! The officer and his team brought a Krispy Kreme donut cake, gifts, and even a singing group!
“This is the best birthday ever!” Thomas said.
No kid should be bullied, and no kid should ever have to wonder if anyone will come to their party.
