“This is a story about Leona. She’s the lady in the photo. She and her two small kids had a couple miles of walking ahead of her, across the highway, in 100 degree heat. She got off the same bus I did. So after getting into my car at the park and ride, I stopped and picked her and her 2 kids up. As it turns out she works at Walmart and they cut her hours to 2 shifts a week. She found a full time job in nearby Fort Worth but they sent her all the way to Dallas for the drug screen, and she has no car. She took a bus then a train to Dallas, both kids in tow. She had just gotten off the bus and I saw them walking, so I was able to give them a ride to where they needed to go. I Love that she is bettering herself for her kids. Leona Rocks.”
