Last night, I missed my train and was stuck. I got to Euston, expecting to wait, but the doors were locked. Exhausted and upset, I was at a loss.
Then I met Mark, a homeless man who saw I was struggling. He kindly offered to help, saying it wasn’t safe to be alone. He took me to a café, bought me coffee, and we talked for hours.
Before leaving, he said he’d get his sleeping bag but would be back at 5 a.m. to walk me to the station. I didn’t expect him to come back. But at 5 a.m., he was there, running towards me, smiling. He’d even taken a bus to keep his word.
This man, someone I might have ignored if he’d asked for money, turned a bad night into an unforgettable memory. Mark, you’re amazing. And yes, that was his first selfie! ❤️
