The Great Food Truck Race is back for another epic road trip, and this season, Tyler pushes nine talented teams to the culinary limit as they road trip up the Atlantic coast in pursuit of food truck glory and a $50,000 grand prize. From a NASCAR raceway and packed beach boardwalk to a Nimitz-class aircraft carrier, the teams visit landmark locations to face unprecedented challenges, demanding celebrity judges, and some of the biggest crowds ever seen on the race. The action-packed, eight-city route starts in Savannah, Georgia with a challenge from baseball’s funniest team the Savannah Bananas, followed by a first elimination with a shocking surprise.
In episode 5, host Tyler Florence gives the food trucks a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to dash around Darlington Raceway in South Carolina and cook for NASCAR’s Mamba Smith and Todd Gilliland. One team wins their first challenge but follows it up by making a shocking decision with devastating results. No one is prepared for the shocking outcome of this week’s elimination.
