The Truth About The Plaths Revealed

Welcome To Plathville season 7 came to a surprising end with relationship changes and a huge shift for the Plath family in general, but after a fascinating family-wide interaction, one thing about the Plath family became abundantly clear. Welcome To Plathville season 7 has struggled to keep Micah Plath and his girlfriend, Veronica Plath, and his family in good standing.

While Veronica was familiar to the Plath family after Welcome To Plathville season 6, it was clear that her standing with the group fell flat somewhere between the seasons, after Veronica discovered that Micah had cheated on her from the beginning. Even so, Veronica’s behavior throughout Welcome To Plathville season 7 paved very little way for sympathy from the show’s viewers.

After Lydia Plath’s wedding to Zac Wyse ended in Micah and their younger brother Isaac Plath coming to physical blows, it was clear something needed to be done to resolve family tension, especially when it came to Veronica. However, even with the Plaths running the show, it was completely unexpected that they’d prove this undeniable truth about their family in a single conversation.

The Plath Family Proved They’re Not Interested In Outsiders Joining The Family

Veronica’s Behavior Aside, The Family Wasn’t Welcoming

Although it was clear that Veronica and Micah were going to split at some point on Welcome To Plathville season 7, the fact that their breakup happened in front of the entire Plath family was nothing short of shocking. Veronica, who was backed into a corner over lies she’d been telling all season, made it clear that Micah had to pick between her and the family.

Micah, who did admit to feeling remorse over cheating on Veronica prior to the season, chose his family, breaking things off with Veronica as his siblings and mother watched on. While the Plaths were somewhat in the right about Veronica’s behavior, the way Micah broke things off felt immature and overwhelming. Proving the Plaths aren’t welcoming to outsiders, the family all but cheered Micah along.

Kim was adamant that she doesn’t have an issue with outsiders coming into the family, but her issues with Veronica and previously Olivia Plath say otherwise. While it’s likely Kim doesn’t take issue with Ethan Plath’s girlfriend Teegan or Isaac’s girlfriend Kaylynn, Veronica and Olivia were both women who were prone to speaking up when an issue arose, while Teegan and Kaylynn haven’t done so on screen.

Kim’s assertion that she didn’t take issue with outsiders coming into the family is only true of people who don’t take issue with the way she treats her family, which can often be an issue. Kim’s behavior is often too invasive or pushy, and seeing her spur on Micah’s breakup with Veronica only proved that the Plaths struggle with those who don’t conform.

Kim Plath’s Tough Love Was Difficult To Watch, But Understandable

For The First Time In Years, Many Agreed With Kim

While Kim may have a different way of thinking when it comes to her kids than most, the piece of the puzzle of Veronica that she was correct about was surprising to Welcome To Plathville viewers. Sharing that she’d heard Veronica was talking about her behind her back and spreading rumors about others in the family, Kim made it clear that she couldn’t condone that behavior.

Though her role in Micah’s breakup may have been somewhat extreme, it was clear that Kim knew her role when it came to navigating the conversation about her family as a whole. Veronica, who’s struggled with Micah’s family all season, was apologetic, but Kim stunned Welcome To Plathville viewers with her thoughtful, tough-love responses to the situation as a whole.
