Tom Hanks went incognito and rode the subway alongside fellow train commuters in New York City on Tuesday.
The “Forrest Gump” star, 69, was spotted taking the 6 line through the Big Apple.
While Hanks sported a green jacket, a green knitted beanie, black jeans and boots for his journey, the Hollywood superstar also made sure to keep a super-low profile by hiding his face behind a white protective mask.
At one point, the Oscar winner reportedly dropped the bag he was clutching close to his chest as he noticed he had almost missed his subway stop.
But this wouldn’t be the first time Hanks was spotted riding the subway in recent weeks. The “You’ve Got Mail” star previously surprised bystanders on the Pelham Packer earlier this month.
Despite once again keeping his face hidden behind a medical mask, the Golden Globe winner was pictured riding the 6 line in a green Yankees cap on Oct. 7.
After climbing back up to the sidewalk following that train ride, Hanks grabbed a coffee from a nearby cart and took a moment to relax on a park bench before slipping a few dollars to a street musician.
He then headed to rehearsals for his upcoming off-Broadway play, “This World of Tomorrow,” which is scheduled to kick off at The Shed on Oct. 30.
Based on the “Green Mile” actor’s 2017 book of short stories, “Uncommon Type,” the production follows scientist Bert Allenberry (Hanks) as he travels back in time over and over again to one day at the 1939 New York World’s Fair in Queens while on a quest for true love.
“To explore the themes of love and yearning, and the struggles of Today as we carry with us the eternal memories of the Past, in such a place as The Shed, strikes me as a one-of-a-kind experience not unlike the World’s Fair of 1939,” Hanks said in a statement about the play, per Playbill.
Meanwhile, Hanks wouldn’t be the only Hollywood legend to ditch the limo for a $3 train ride, because Harrison Ford and his wife, Calista Flockhart, made headlines after riding the subway together in April.
The couple, who married in June 2010, were seen walking in the Upper West Side before venturing down to a station.
Ford, 83, and Flockhart, 60, shared a sweet kiss goodbye before the actress rushed to catch her express downtown 2 train to “Curse of the Starving Class,” the off-Broadway play she was starring in at the Pershing Square Signature Center at the time.
The “Indiana Jones” star then followed his wife’s instructions and hopped on the downtown 1 train before getting off at 59th Street.
While still on the subway, the “Star Wars” actor sat next to a woman in pink, and they struck up a conversation during the ride.
Ford reportedly told the lucky commuter that he hadn’t taken the subway in years.
