Adidas has announced it will stop using kangaroo leather in all its products. CEO Bjørn Gulden revealed at the annual stockholders meeting that the company had already phased out this material months ago.

This decision follows advocacy from the Center for a Humane Economy. Its “Kangaroos Are Not Shoes” campaign has now secured commitments from major brands including Diadora, Puma, Nike, and New Balance to end kangaroo leather use.
