Speaking to reporters on Thursday, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt called on former first lady Jill Biden to testify in front of Congress over an alleged “coverup” of the former president’s declining health while in office.
House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer, a Republican from Kentucky, is calling for transcribed interviews with several senior staffers from former President Joe Biden’s White House, alleging they played a role in secretly working to conceal Biden’s cognitive decline during his presidency.
Comer suggested this week that he may also issue subpoenas to former White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, as well as Hunter Biden and Jill Biden.
