Dear Old Navy,
You don’t know me, but I know you well. I’ve always loved your cute clothes and good prices. I’ve been a bigger person all my life, so shopping at your store was always tough for me. But a few weeks ago, you announced that all your clothes would now be offered in sizes 0-4X at the same price. I was shocked and so excited! I’ve never been able to just walk into a store and shop from any rack. I always had to search for the plus-size section, which was usually just a small rack or two if I was lucky.
Today, I went into your store for the first time in years, and I found clothes that actually fit me. I picked up shirts for $18, which would normally cost $55-$70 at other plus-size stores, and shorts that cost a quarter of what I usually pay. When I went into the fitting room, I had to take a moment and cry. It was the easiest shopping trip I’ve had in a long time. I walked out of your store with a bag full of goodies, including work shirts, t-shirts, and the cutest, comfiest workout shorts I’ve ever worn (and they were less than half the price of other stores I shop at!).
Old Navy, thank you for making cute and affordable clothes that fit everyone. Thank you for not charging extra for bigger sizes. Thank you for being part of the change.
