Earlier today as I stopped to get some gas at a local Kroger, a van pulled up beside me and I could tell from the man’s facial expression something wasn’t quite right.
So I rolled down my window and asked “Is everything okay sir?” He replied with ” I’m not sure what’s wrong with my car ” I jumped out and said “pop the hood buddy”.
As I stood there and looked under the hood and put a tester on the battery I found out pretty quick that his battery wasn’t charging because the alternator was malfunctioning.
I asked him “how far do you live from here?” He responded with “only a mile down the road” I told him “I will charge your battery enough for you to make it home but you will unfortunately need an alternator”.
He said ” I honestly don’t have the money to fix it.”
I reached in my pocket and gave him my business card with my number and said ” when you make it home call me and I’ll come over and take care of it”.
He said “why would you do that for someone you don’t even know?”
I said “because you’re never too important to be nice to people”.
