Grace Davidson, 36, was born without a uterus. Determined to become a mom, she underwent a womb transplant in 2023. Grace received the organ from her older sister, Amy Purdie.

The 18-hour surgery in Oxford, UK, was followed by IVF using embryos Grace and her husband Angus had frozen prior to the procedure.

In February 2025, Grace gave birth to her daughter, Amy Isabel, via Caesarean section at Queen Charlotte’s and Chelsea Hospital in London. The baby, named in honor of her aunt, weighed 4.5 pounds at birth.

“The moment we saw her was incredible, and both of us just broke down in emotional tears – it’s hard to describe, it was elation,” Angus commented.
