Love doesn’t end when a heartbeat stops. It lingers—woven into the smallest details, the quietest moments, the places where you once stood together.

Letting go doesn’t mean you failed them. It means you loved them enough to give them peace, even when it broke you.

That night, Ned reminded me that our bond wasn’t tied to his body—it was carried in the space between us, in the memories etched so deeply they’ll never fade.

I’ll still cry for him. I’ll still miss him. But now, when I close my eyes, I’ll feel that gentle weight on my chest and know: he’s home.
