Rep. Thomas Massie took aim at Speker of the House Mike Johnson Tuesday evening as growing frustrations mount into the lack of transparency over the Epstein files.
Shortly before Massie fired shots at Johnson, Johnson told the press that “Republicans won’t be lectured on ‘transparency’ by the same Democrats who orchestrated one of the most shameless and dangerous cover-ups in history – Biden’s obvious mental and physical decline.”
“When they claim they’re for transparency, roll the tape. They lied to the American people,” Johnson added, and then posted a video clip of the briefing on X.
Rep. Massie has been one of the most vocal voices in the Republican Party over the release of the Epstein files and is leading the charge with a bill that could force a vote on the release of the files. Massie currently has 20 sponsors for the bill, which he plans to address immediately upon Congress returning from recess in September.
