🚨🇺🇸 NAVY GETS NEW MEGA LASERS… BECAUSE BULLETS ARE SO LAST CENTURY
The Navy just kicked off a $29.9 million project to build SONGBOW – a next-gen 400-kilowatt laser weapon designed to vaporize drones, cruise missiles, and even hypersonic threats.
Yes, hypersonic.
As in, blink-and-it’s-too-late fast.
Instead of 1 big beam, SONGBOW fuses a bunch of 50kW lasers into a single ultra-focused blast – kind of like Voltron, but with photonic death rays.
This would be the most powerful laser ever put on a U.S. warship, and a massive upgrade from the 60-150kW systems we’ve seen so far, which are basically laser pointers by comparison.
Why lasers? No reloads, near-instant response, and physics so scary your enemies might just ghost your radar out of respect.
Also, let’s be honest: nothing says “2025 military flex” like frying a drone swarm with lasers.
