She only wanted a soda. But at 81 years old, even that small trip felt impossible.
Struggling to get out of her car, she could barely step onto the sidewalk. That’s when 17-year-old Senquavious Driver spotted her.
Without hesitation, this high school senior jumped out of the car. He offered his arm, steadied her steps, and gently walked her inside. He stayed by her side as she shopped, making sure she was safe the whole time. Then, when she was ready, he walked her back out — soda in hand — and didn’t leave until she was secure in her car.
His aunt, watching through tears, captured the moment that reminded her (and all of us) what true kindness looks like.
Heroes don’t always wear uniforms. Sometimes they’re 17 years old, holding open doors, carrying sodas, and reminding the world that compassion is never out of style.
Thank you, Senquavious — for making us all smile today. ❤️
