Six-year-old Hayden and his family had just moved into a new house, and for the first time ever, Hayden had his own bedroom. But Hayden had a lot of anxiety and was too scared to sleep there. He was always afraid that bad guys might sneak in.
He begged his parents to call the police or a doctor for help. As a last try, his parents took him to the local police station to talk with an officer. That’s when Officer Schwartz from the Eldridge Police Department stepped in. He talked to Hayden and even took time out of his day to go check Hayden’s room with him to show that no bad guys could get in.
Hayden’s parents said he’s now sleeping better in his own room.
Officer Schwartz even came back the next morning to see how Hayden was doing and to take some first day of school photos with him! Great job, Officer Schwartz—well done.
