TARGET SCRAPS DEI PROGRAM: The “supplier diversity” team, which previously focused on Black-owned and diverse suppliers, has been renamed “supplier engagement” and now aims to include small businesses more broadly.
Target also said it will no longer participate in third-party diversity surveys, including the Human Rights Campaign’s Corporate Equality Index.
Target cited “the importance of staying in step with the evolving external landscape” as the reason for the change.
