“That moment you realize how far you’ve come.
I was overweight at diagnosis. Then I gained an additional 13 pounds during chemotherapy treatment. I read all the statistics and saw all the studies regarding women who are overweight at diagnosis have a poorer prognosis. That’s all that I needed to light a fire inside me.
I took a deep dive into my health. What I was eating, drinking, my entire lifestyle. I have to lose this weight, my life depends on it.
Proud to say I dropped 40 lbs and now at a normal BMI now but I’m still pushing to drop 15 more pounds. I’ve fought so hard to get to where I am now and I’ll be damned if this cancer tries to take me down without a fight. 🥊”
