Today I want to share a story that truly warmed my heart.
My 83-year-old grandfather and I went to Home Depot on Rhode Island Avenue in DC to replace the spool feed for his trimmer. While we were looking around, we came across an employee named QuRan. He kindly showed my grandfather exactly which feed he needed. We paid for it and then headed over to the lawn services kiosk, hoping someone could help install it.
Unfortunately, we were told the only person who knew how to install the feed was on his lunch break and wouldn’t be available for another hour. My grandfather and I decided we would just come back later. As we were about to leave, QuRan stopped us and asked if we needed help. I explained the situation to him, and without hesitation, he offered to help us himself.
I am pretty sure he had other things to do, but he took the time to install the new feed and even showed my grandfather how to do it step by step. He was so patient, answering every question my grandfather asked without a hint of frustration. When my grandfather offered to do something in return, QuRan simply smiled, declined, and walked away as if it was no big deal.
But to us, it was a big deal.
Today I just wanted to let everyone know how awesome QuRan is and to make sure he gets the recognition he truly deserves. People like him make the world a better place.
