Tonight I came across a post that said, “What would women do without us?”
The answer is simple: everything.
This evening, I mowed my yard with my almost two-year-old on my hip. Why? Because she refused to let go, and as a single mom of four, I didn’t have the option to wait. The yard needed to be done, and my little one needed her mom—so I did both.
I was raised in a home without a man. My mom, a single mother of three girls, worked endlessly and showed us what strength looked like. We handled the yard, fixed what was broken, and managed everything ourselves. We learned early on that women are fully capable of doing anything a man can do.
So gentlemen, remember this: a woman doesn’t need you—she may simply want you. There’s a huge difference. If she gives you her time, know it’s because she chooses to, not because she has to.
And to my fellow women—never lose your independence. Never forget the endless things you are capable of.
