Daisy Kelliher has been a formidable Chief Stew on Below Deck Sailing Yacht, and season 5 was her most challenging season yet, so it’s time for an update on the yachtie. 37-year-old Daisy hails from Ireland originally. She was introduced to the yachting industry when she was two, and started working on yachts when she was 25. Eight years after her career began, Daisy began her run in the Below Deck franchise. Daisy joined Parsifal III under Captain Glenn Shephard in season 2, and she’s retained her position for the last five years.
Daisy has been a highly telegenic and entertaining cast member to watch over the years because of her quick wit, determined work ethic, off-charter shenanigans, and overall charismatic personality. Daisy has had her fair share of boatmances over the years, which Below Deck fans know always proves to be messy and engaging. Daisy is also a polarizing figure due to her close connection with controversial First Officer Gary King, who has been embroiled in scandal since they first worked together in season 2. Now that BDSY season 5 is behind Daisy, it’s time to look at her present and future.
Daisy’s BDSY Season 5 Journey
Daisy Caught A Lot Of Smoke
In Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5, Daisy has Stewardesses Danni Warren and Diana Cruz working under her in the interior, and it proved to be a tumultuous season between the three. Danni and Diana banded together to challenge Daisy’s authority, as they felt they were being treated unfairly, and that Daisy wasn’t working as hard as them. Daisy had to scold the young women several times, and fight with them over tearing down her credibility. Daisy remarked that she hadn’t had as difficult a time bonding or having a positive work relationship as she had with Danni and Diana.
Outside of her interior mess, Daisy got into hot water with Captain Glenn after she, Gary, and Deckhands Keith Allen and Chase Lemacks had drinks with the guests on-charter. Daisy, Gary, and Keith did not stick to Captain Glenn’s two-drink rule, and they were reprimanded by having their tip taken away. Daisy was embarrassed by her mistake, and she was clearly thrown off her game all season long. Daisy and Gary as department heads also butted heads, as they have done every season, but they ended up becoming roommates on board and solidified their friendship.
Are Daisy & Keith Still Together?
Daisy & Keith Were Together For A Year
Below Deck alum Daisy did have a notable high point in BDSY season 5, as she found a love connection. Gary seemingly will always have a thing for Daisy, and tries to throw her off whatever she’s doing romantically to remind her that he wants to be with her. However, in season 5, Daisy broke free from Gary’s advances, and was able to form a connection with Keith. Chef Cloye Martin was also in pursuit of Daisy, but Daisy and Keith’s bond was obviously more real and had potential.
Daisy and Keith only kissed on Parsifal III, but they decided to see where their relationship took them post-show. Daisy, whose home base is in London, England, was visited by Keith after BDSY season 5, and the two carried on a long-distance “situationship” for a year, never officially becoming boyfriend and girlfriend. In the end, the distance factor ultimately proved too much for them, but Daisy doesn’t think her time was wasted in her relationship with Keith.
“We dated for a year, but it was long distance. It was long distance and it wasn’t, like, ever very serious. But, we were in each other’s lives for a year and, unfortunately, it ended because of distance.”
Daisy appears to be currently single. She is a cat mom, and keeps a home in England, although she still works in the yachting industry. Daisy also travels a lot for pleasure, and a relationship is likely unattainable while she maintains her jet-setting lifestyle.
Will Daisy Return To The Below Deck Franchise?
Yes, In Below Deck Down Under
After her taxing charter season in BDSY season 5, it was unclear whether Daisy would want to continue her time on the Below Deck franchise’s third spinoff. The season as a whole was marred by Gary’s presence, as he has been under scrutiny for a sexual misconduct allegation that has since turned into a lawsuit. However, Daisy is distancing herself from Below Deck Sailing Yacht, but not the franchise entirely.
On April 12, 2025, it was announced that Daisy would be joined by Captain Jason Chambers as Chief Stew in Below Deck Down Under season 4.
An image of her posing with Captain Jason, several guests, and former franchise alum, Chef Ben Robinson, was shared on Instagram. Daisy will be working with Chef Ben and Captain Jason in the next installment of Below Deck‘s fourth spinoff, which means she’ll remain in the franchise indefinitely. Moreover, Daisy could return with a renewed sense of confidence, enjoying a different part of the world with a new crew.
