Yesterday, one of our little ones was having a tough morning and didn’t want to go into the classroom. As the tears started and the struggle grew, Mr. Burwick walked down the hall. Without hesitation, he got right down on the floor beside that child and began talking with them.
He gently shared how sometimes even he doesn’t feel like going to school—but he still comes, because it’s fun to learn new things. That small moment of connection made all the difference.
These are the quiet, powerful things that happen behind school doors every single day—things parents and the community rarely get to see. Teachers go above and beyond to make sure your children feel safe, seen, and loved in that building.
Let’s remember to build each other up instead of tearing each other down. Our kids are always watching. They learn from our example. So let’s show them the kind of leaders we hope they’ll grow up to be.
